Juliana Ketcham is a senior journalism student at Texas State University from Burleson, Texas who really loves to hike. When searching for her future college, there was something that really stuck out to her when visiting San Marcos. Her Attention was caught by the local businesses that seem to flourish in the mermaid capital of Texas as you can find more unique stores than just a JCPenney or Kohl's. When Ketcham graduates from college, her dream is to work at the United Nations Headquarters in New York because she says there is nothing better than journalism in New York.

Going into this trip, Ketcham is most excited for the "room temperature" weather Maine has to offer because she loves all things running and hiking, unless it's above 85 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Her favorite hike she went on was to Jackson Hole in Wyoming where she got to take in the scenery at the top of her hike.

Ketcham is looking forward to the experience the projects and papers from this trip will provide her with. She has a knack for interviewing, and she is excited to get better at it. In fact, this is not her first Study in America trip she has been on. Earlier this year she got the opportunity to go on the trip to New York where she got to visit the United Nations Headquarters among many more locations. She is especially excited to have friends with her on this specific trip.
