A first-generation college student ready to take on Acadia

Libby Sanchez is a junior at Texas State University with a major in Digital Media Innovation and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She is a full-time, first-generation college student and is the youngest of three siblings, although due to how close she is with her cousins, it feels like she has more.
Her passion for cameras has led her to join the Campus Creators club at Texas State University where she has met many other Digital Media Innovation students. She will be bringing her camera to Acadia National Park to further her love for photography.
This is Libby’s first Study in America program and Maine has always been number one on her bucket list, so she felt as though it was the perfect opportunity. She has gone on family trips to New Mexico during winter times and loves mountain views but hasn’t travelled much other than that. Libby has been camping a few times throughout her life and some of her favorite parts of those experiences were swimming, playing gaga ball, and hanging around the campfire.
Libby is beyond excited to take a trip during the summer to see Acadia. She is also looking forward to the anticipated weather and temperatures of around 60 degrees in Maine because she loves to be outside when the weather is nice. She is so excited to make new friends on this trip and experience her very first national park with this group of people.
